Postby rubib12 » Fri Oct 10, 2014 3:10 am

Hi,

I'm testing CloudBacko Pro for backing up Exchange server, is it possible to restore individual email, contacts and etc. for a specific mailbox?
I couldn't found this option.

Hello

Thank you for your interest in CloudBacko Pro.

CloudBacko Pro supports backup and restore of individual mailboxes which includes mail items, contacts, calendars etc. To use this feature please create a Exchange mail level backup set to backup your mailboxes first.

To use our Exchange mail level backup set, please make sure:

1. You download and install Microsoft Exchange Server MAPI Client and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=39045

2. The Windows account is a member of the Domain Admins, Enterprise Admins, and Exchange Organization Administrator groups viewtopic.php?f=51&t=33

3. If you are backing up MS Exchange 2013 mail boxes on Windows 2012 server .NET Framework 3.5 feature must installed via the Roles and Features within Server Manager. viewtopic.php?f=51&t=140

Hello

To fully protect an Exchange server you need to perform a database backup.

The mailbox backup can be used to supplement your database backup. As this will allow you to quickly & conveniently restore individual emails, calendars, contacts etc for user mailboxes.

So you will need to use both types of backup.

Hello,

You need to select "Database" type for the first backup job.
