slow backup, restore impossible [#16186]

Postby CorbitBron » Tue Jan 17, 2017 10:28 pm

The main problem here is that we can't restore any files, even when we get past the loading screen.
The files we are trying to restore are usually just 1-2 KB big
If we leave it open for over half an hour we sometimes get through but then end up with following errors:
[2017/01/10 14:39:56] [info] [ChunkedInputStream.ReadChunkTask.run] Unexpected IOException, error=[Office365Manager.getInputStream] Target is not a file, sParent=1464016840911/blocks/2016-07-28-13-32-20/0, sName=000390.bak, for path=D:\DELL\OOBEDONE.FLG, sPhysicalPath=1464016840911/blocks/2016-07-28-13-32-20/0/000390.bak, iChunkIdx=0, lDestID=1.464.184.827.712. Sleeping for 960 sec (#5) ...
[2017/01/10 14:55:56] [info] [CloudFileSystem.getInputStream] Failed to obtain inputstream for '[BackupFile][ClientPath=D:\DELL\OOBEDONE.FLG][Type=F][BackupByJob=2016-07-28-13-32-20][FileSystemObjectType=2][ServerPath=1464016840911/blocks/2016-07-28-13-32-20/0/000390.bak]'

the backups complete with the files server list taking 30 minutes and the saving encrypted files taking a whopping 6 hours.
we tried the solution from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=1558 as that had worked for a different server, but that doesn't get past the loading screen.
the integrity check we abandoned after 30 minutes of the status 'pending'.
Doing a speedtest showed us no issues.

is there any solution for this?

Hello,

To help us looking into this issue, could you please provide us with the Cloudbacko client log files for our investigation?

You can copy the log files to Dropbox, OneDrive, Google drive etc and share the link on this thread for us to download?

Please refer to our FAQ "Where are the CloudBacko backup and restore logs located?" viewtopic.php?f=58&t=233

Hi,

Due to the case cannot reproduce in our machine, our developer would like to access the affected machines for investigation.

So, could you provide us the RDP or Team Viewer 10 session?

Our developer's availability is from 09:30 - 17:00 (Mon to Fri) HK time GMT+8. Please let us know your credentials by PM.

Thanks.

Hi,

After investigation, it is find that the restore process is depend on a BackupByJob=2016-07-28-13-32-20, which is find that the backup is not complete and index is corrupted on that day. We also find that your backupset cannot be backup successfully since it created(2016-06-02-11-36-05), and perform incremental backup only. The delta chain of the backupset is already corrupted.

We would recommend you to start a new backupset with a full backup to maintain your data twice a week.
Please let us know if you have further question.

Thanks.

Add on to the typo mistakes of the previous post:

Please let us know if you have further question.

Thanks.

Hi CorbitBron,

Since we have find that the index is corrupted since it is created, and the index keep abnormal after that.
We would suggest you to create a new backup set to solve the problem.
And also, we would like you to check the index size on onedrive business.

Thanks.
