BUG Report: Zombie bjW.exe 100% CPU

Postby horizonip » Thu Oct 30, 2014 11:09 pm

This morning I discovered that a backup of 20Gigs to a local FTP NAS box was moving very slow.
Job was about 85% complete. All CPUs at 100% usage.

I canceled job and closed program

CPUs still at 100%

after closing cloudbacko, I noticed the app was still running in systray, however NO background jobs were running.

I clicked exit and after a few minutes bjw.exe closed and CPU usage dropped.

I experience this same issue with another customer running on a different server model and O/S(Windows 2008R2 Server vs Windows 2012 Server)

Hello

We require some more information about your bJW.exe issue.

-Can you tell us if the backup jobs was scheduled or manually started?
-Is the NAS device used exclusively by CloudBacko for backup purposes? Or are they used other service/applications?
-You mentioned the backup job "was moving very slow. Job was about 85% complete. All CPUs at 100% usage.". Was CloudBacko generating an incremental delta at that time? Was there any connection problem between the CloudBacko machine and the FTP NAS device?

To allow us to get clearer picture of your FTP backup problem. Do you mind copying the backup logs to Dropbox, OneDrive, Google drive etc and share the link on this thread?

Please refer to our FAQ "Where are the CloudBacko backup and restore logs located?" viewtopic.php?f=58&t=233

bJW.exe is using 40% to 60% of my CPU during backup-- much too high! My computer is freezing intermittently.
